That Science Guy
In this program, your students will learn all about fossils - how they are formed, how they are found, and how they are extracted. They will get to hold real fossils in their hands and examine them up close by visiting the Mini Museum. The travelling museum has many wonderful hands-on specimens including; a trilobite, an ammonite, a brachiopod, a dinosaur tooth, a megalodon tooth, and a coprolite.
This program also involves making an exact replica of a fossil. By using plaster and a fossil mould, your students will be able to make their own fossil replica, which they can keep! These fossil replicas are commonly called casts and they can be painted so that they look more authentic or you can paint them in an imaginative and artistic way.
